By entering into an agreement for the service, the customer accepts these terms.
2. Service content
ConfSales compiles and makes available information about corporate conferences, events, organisers and conference venues.
Information is collected from publicly available sources and may be processed using automated and AI-based methods.
The service is intended as an information and prospecting aid. It does not guarantee that a particular event will take place, that a stated organisation is a direct contractual party to a venue, or that a business opportunity exists.
3. Information sources and currency
ConfSales aims to present accurate and relevant information.
Source references are provided so that the customer can verify the origin of the information.
Information may change after collection. Events may, for example, be cancelled, relocated or change organiser.
The customer is responsible for verifying information that is essential to their own business decisions.
4. User accounts
The customer is responsible for ensuring that user accounts are used only by authorised persons.
Login credentials must be kept secure and must not be shared with unauthorised persons.
The customer must notify ConfSales without undue delay if unauthorised access or misuse of an account is suspected.
5. Permitted use
The customer may use the service’s information within their own business to analyse the market, identify relevant events and plan business outreach.
Without written permission, the customer must not:
- Resell or license the ConfSales database.
- Publish or distribute substantial parts of the service’s compiled content as a competing data service.
- Use automated tools for extensive extraction or copying of the service’s database.
- Attempt to bypass login, security or access restrictions.
- Use the service for unlawful purposes.
These restrictions do not affect rights the customer has under mandatory law or in relation to independent factual information.
6. Marketing and customer responsibility
The customer is solely responsible for how the information is used in their own business.
If the customer contacts companies or individuals for marketing purposes, the customer is responsible for complying with applicable data protection and marketing legislation.
ConfSales does not provide any general guarantee that a particular company or person may be contacted by email, phone or other channels.
7. Subscriptions and payment
Access to the service is provided according to the subscription plan and price agreed by the parties when ordering.
The price, billing period, payment terms, commitment period and any notice period must be specified in the order or a separate written agreement.
Prices exclude VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.
In the event of late payment, ConfSales may take measures in accordance with the agreement and applicable law. Suspension due to non-payment must be preceded by reasonable notice, unless special circumstances justify otherwise.
8. Agreement term and termination
The subscription term and termination conditions are specified in the customer’s order.
If no specific commitment period has been agreed, the subscription continues until further notice and may be terminated with 30 days’ notice.
When the agreement ends, the customer’s access to the service is terminated. Personal data is handled in accordance with the ConfSales privacy policy and applicable legal requirements.
9. Operations and changes
ConfSales works to keep the service available and operational.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical problems or events outside ConfSales’ control.
ConfSales may change features and data content. In the event of material deterioration of a paid service, the customer must be informed within a reasonable time and given the opportunity to terminate the agreement if the deterioration is not insignificant.
10. Intellectual property rights
ConfSales software, interfaces, its own compilations and other protected material belong to Derfla Invest AB or its rights holders.
The content and rights of original sources belong to their respective rights holders.
The customer receives a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service under the agreement. No transfer of intellectual property rights takes place.
11. Liability and limitation of liability
ConfSales aims for good data quality but does not guarantee that every item of information is complete, current or error-free.
ConfSales is not responsible for the customer’s own business decisions or for information on external websites linked to by ConfSales.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ConfSales is not liable for indirect losses, such as loss of profit or lost business opportunities.
ConfSales’ total liability for breach of contract is limited to the amount the customer paid for the service during the twelve months preceding the event that caused the loss.
This limitation does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence and does not restrict liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Suspension and breach of contract
ConfSales may temporarily restrict access where necessary to address security risks or serious misuse.
In the event of a material breach of contract, the agreement may be terminated early if the other party does not remedy the breach within a reasonable time following a written request. Immediate termination is permitted for serious breaches where a remedy cannot reasonably be required.
13. Personal data
Derfla Invest AB processes personal data in accordance with its privacy policy.
If the parties’ actual cooperation involves ConfSales processing personal data on behalf of the customer, a separate data processing agreement must be entered into where required by the GDPR.
14. Changes to the terms
ConfSales may update these terms.
Material changes affecting an ongoing subscription must be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect. If a change places the customer at a material disadvantage, the customer may terminate the agreement before the change takes effect, without further charges for the period thereafter.
15. Governing law and disputes
Swedish law applies to the agreement.
The parties must first attempt to resolve disputes through negotiation. If no resolution is reached, the dispute will be decided by a Swedish court of general jurisdiction.
